Emotions

It is funny how your emotions can change,
You feel anger and madness,
And sorrow and sadness,
But they’re never exactly the same.

It’s perfectly possible for joy in the morning,
Then to hurt in some way,
Turning the day to a gray,
Then going back to color without warning.

If you ever think back to a time at your low,
It is never as bad,
As at the time when you had,
That seemingly stinging blow.

In reality, there’s neither future nor past,
Only this instant,
Which is now non-existent
So that bad time can never last.

So whenever emotions try to give you a twist,
Before you fall flat,
Remember this chat,
Remember that they can’t exist.
